That hand is most likely holding water that flowed thousands of years ago. It Takes a long time for the glacier to return it back to the ocean.

Spurting geysers, boiling mud pools, majestic glaciers, dramatic waterfalls, and of course, hip Reykjavik, the country’s capital – these are the first things that come to mind when you think of Iceland. It’s Europe’s least densely populated country, with unsurpassed landscapes – all to be explored on Iceland’s Nature’s Wonders route.

Puffins, fulmars, arctic foxes, whales, Icelandic horses, and sheep. I’m not sure what the black bird is.
I’ve thought so much about Iceland’s outdoors I never considered the interior…of anything. This looks perfect. If only it was a loft inside a farm with a ladder leading up to it, I’d be so happy.

My boyfriend loves these. Along with the Nortern Lights, his other favorites are puffins (they’re just so sad looking and cute!) and Icelandic horses (they’re so adorable and short! like me!). I don’t really have any favorites of Iceland yet. The Northern Lights don’t excite me much right now. But I know when I actually see them, I’ll be enchanted. And puffins and horses are cool. But I’m not as attached as him.
I guess I just love the country. I love the government and the people and the culture and all the breathtaking wilderness. I’m in love with the big picture.
